William R. Caroselli (1941-2018)
Bill graduated from Brown with a noted reputation as a highly accomplished student-athlete that then led him to Dickinson School of Law where he earned his J.D. (1966). This became the foundation that launched a distinguished legal career that spanned over five decades. Bill was the founding member of the prestigious law firm Caroselli, Beachler & Coleman. His leadership and intellectual intensity garnered a reputation as one of the most sought after legal minds in Pennsylvania and recognized nationally.
Caroselli has been listed in the Best Lawyers in America for over 30 years. One of the Top 50 Super Lawyers in Pittsburgh since 2004 and Pennsylvania Super Lawyers named him as one of Pennsylvania’s Top 100 Lawyers. Bill served as president of the Allegheny County Academy of Trial Lawyers and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice. He was chairman of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. Bill impacted the business and cultural community with leadership and vision serving as Chairman of the Board of WQED, and the Easter Seals – Western and Central Pennsylvania and as a distinguished board member of the Pittsburgh Opera. Bill also became a prominent person in Pennsylvania power circles and was noted as one of the most important political figures in the state. Bill’s philanthropy has touched and changed thousands of lives especially his personal commitment to JDRF of Pennsylvania.
